About Us

Sharing the Journey, Giving Hope

Kathy's Camp for Kids, a non-profit organization, was formed to create a unique community where children of cancer patients can share their journey and meet other kids and adults who know what it's like to have cancer as a part of their daily lives. Kathy’s Camp provides support and encouragement to children ages 4-17.

Easing the Burden

In turn, Kathy’s Camp for Kids also provides much-needed support for parents. It takes some of the responsibility from their shoulders, allowing them to focus more attention on treatment by providing reassurance that their children will not be left on the sidelines.

Through Kathy’s Camp for Kids, parents and children have access to:
  • Day camps where Kathy’s Campers come together for fun, friendship, support, and encouragement
  • Access to mentors and friends who can provide a welcome break from the daily struggle of dealing with cancer
  • Fun, special events that bring the community together to learn about our organization and support the Kathy’s Camp family
  • Printed resources that address the needs & questions of the children of cancer patients

Where are we now?

Fundraising efforts are ongoing and we continue to focus our efforts on finding the children that we aim to serve. We need your help in spreading the word about our organization and the services we provide.

As you think about our services and the children we aim to serve please remember:

  1. The children served by Kathy's Camp for Kids do not have to have a parent in active treatment.
  2. A parent can be years past treatment and the kids will still qualify for our services.
  3. The kids don’t have to attend every event and participation is always voluntary.
  4. The person with cancer may actually be a primary caregiver and not necessarily a “parent”.
  5. All of our services are provided at no charge to the children.
